Horse Training
As a Lyons Legacy Certified trainer, I not only find myself constantly driven to discover and learn new techniques for training horses, but I also often find that I am working under two distinct training concepts that guide my approach. One concept emphasizes the idea that just as no two horses are alike—much like no two snowflakes share the same intricacies—there is no reason for us to train and teach horses as though they are all the same. The other guiding principle I adhere to is the philosophy of “make the wrong thing difficult and the right thing easy.” By incorporating both of these concepts into my training sessions, I find that I am able to gain a deeper understanding of the individual horse I am working with. This personalized approach allows me to connect with them much more effectively than if I were to simply treat each horse as if they were identical replicas of those I had encountered previously.
Training Lessons
$ 40 / hour / horse
Training lessons are definitely one of my absolute favorite services that we offer here at Hope's Legacy Equestrian. What makes these lessons particularly special is that they adopt a more hands-off approach, allowing you, as the dedicated owner, to take the reins, quite literally! This unique training program is specifically designed to empower you to handle the training process yourself, with expert guidance and support provided along the way. By working together, we can help you reach whatever goals you have previously set for both you and your horse, ensuring a rewarding experience for everyone involved.
Horse Training
$40 / hour / horse
Horse training sessions are generally quite straightforward and uncomplicated, designed to be accessible and effective for both horse and trainer alike. As a dedicated trainer, I take an entirely hands-on approach to ensure the very best outcomes for each unique horse and rider. These sessions can encompass a wide range of engaging activities, whether it involves laying the essential groundwork to cultivate the strong, harmonious partnership with your equine companion that you aspire to achieve or applying those more advanced, fancy buttons needed for more intricate movements. Throughout these training sessions, I take the full responsibility of training your horse for you, but I do wholeheartedly encourage you to occasionally observe a session. This allows you to see firsthand what is being thoughtfully taught and helps you get up to speed on the new communication methods that are crucial for effectively connecting with your horse on a deeper level. Your involvement not only enhances your understanding but also strengthens the bond between you and your equine friend.
Training Sessions
Our training sessions stand out as particularly unique experiences, as they are meticulously designed around your specific goals that you hope to achieve, or closely approach, within a dedicated timeframe of either 30, 60, or 90 days. These goals can encompass a variety of important milestones, ranging from the initial handling of a young horse, to the very first rides that establish a solid and strong foundation, or even to the delicate task of adding final touches for more intricate and advanced movements. Throughout this designated period, I will devote my time to riding your horse five days a week for one hour per session, focusing intently on the necessary steps and techniques to successfully reach that targeted goal. Please note that pricing varies according to each package, so don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification. At this time, we regret to inform you that we do not offer horse boarding at the private Hope's Legacy facility.
